Providing Necessary Donations, Habema Showed Empathy To Sambili Resident

INTAN JAYA - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Intan Jaya Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Sunday, 29 September 2024, the 509 Task Forces, especially the Holomama Post led by First Lieutenant Wanianto, showed their empathy by receiving a visit from a resident of Sambili Village who conveyed the sad news of the recent loss of his relative.

Emphasizing the pivotal role of the community, Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, Commander of the 509 Task Forces, stressed the importance of the Task Forces’ focus on the community's fundamental needs in the assigned area. Therefore, on Sunday, the Soldiers took advantage of their task by helping the Sambili resident, Mr Simon Wanimbo, who lost his relative.

By prioritizing security during activities, harmonious interactions between TNI Soldiers and Mr Simon have resulted in a close relationship between the two parties. To increase familiarity, the Soldiers distributed a package of basic necessities needed by Bapak Simon. In response to the package, Mr Simon expressed his impression: "Praise God, thank you, Commander 509. God bless.”

Upon receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, commended the 509 Task Forces’ initiative to conduct social communication and distribute packages of basic necessities to resident of Sambili village. His words: 'The 509 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to conduct inclusive Social Communication with all stakeholders to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region.' This recognition from the highest authority in HABEMA is not just a commendation but a testament to the significant impact of such initiatives on the region's development.
