INTAN JAYA - Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad is one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) HABEMA. The 509 Task Forces is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the region of Intan Jaya Regency. On Saturday, 10 August 2024, the 509 Task Forces held a Territorial Activity entitled "Free Health Treatment" for residents of Bilogai Village, Sugapa District. This activity helped the residents with difficulties in the health sector, one of the community's basic needs.
In conducting routine duties, the 509 Task Forces have actively carried out security activities in its area of responsibility. On Saturday, during its routine task, the Bilogai Post led by First Lieutenant Abdian, had their Medical Team conducted free Health Treatment for the community. The free Health Treatment included general medical check-ups, treatment for minor illnesses, provision of vitamins, and education about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and living a healthy lifestyle.
On Saturday morning, quite a lot of Bilogai residents came to the Post to get free Health Treatment. One of them was Mama Rut Turnib who received health treatment through treatment for her flu illness, as well as the provision of medicine and vitamins. After the treatment, Mama Rut said, "Thank you, Pak Tentara (Soldier). I feel better now. God bless."
"The initiative of the 509 Task Forces to hold free Health Treatment for the Bilogai residents, is a form of TNI's concern for the local community, especially in providing basic health services, to support efforts to accelerate the development of Papua region, " said HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, after receiving a report on the implementation of the activity.
